For some time now I have not been posting on this blog. I am continuing on my other blog www.boutisflorida.blogspot.com
Initially I thought I would keep the two blogs separate, one for quilting and one for boutis, but topics simply overlap and I am finding it better to post on only one blog.
So please come visit me at the Boutis FLorida site !

Yesterday I visited the lovely West Pasco show. This is a large guild which puts on a show every two years with many beautiful quilts. The show is still on today, with a live quilt auction for charity, so if you are anywhere near Hudson FL today give yourself a treat
I will let the photos speak for themselves - since I am mostly fond of applique, that is what I photographed. Enjoy !

We have had unusually cold weather here in Florida, and while we can't compete with the amount of snow everyone else has had, we have had freezing temperatures for the last couple of days, and yesterday was very cold. A perfect day for staying indoors, I cooked and baked and even managed to sew a little. Our oldest cat Rusty made himself comfortable next to the fire.
I made this bag for my daughter who is going back to college today. I had cut the fabric a while back and finished it yesterday - the pattern is the Frenchy bag by Amy Butler, the fabrics are so much nicer than in the picture. I lined the bag in a coordinating stripe fabric from this line, and it has two big pockets inside with a magnetic snap.
